NEW PRICES: Since Rodrigo RARELY gives massages that are less than 1 1/2 hours (sometimes 2 hours plus!!) and people don't always tip, it usually takes him an hour each way to get here, he's professionally trained and he's GOOD/WELL WORTH I - his rates are now $40 a session.
Previous clients will keep their $30/session rate till the end of Dec., '08.

Rodrigo is BY FAR the BEST Massage Therapist I’ve EVER experienced - for MY body (we ALL have different experiences, needs [and "issues"])!!! He is one of the Massage Therapist for the CR Soccer Federation (over 8 years) & he’s been doing professional massages/physical therapy for over 17 years & even taught massage at THE massage school in CR. He knows so much about the mechanics of body (inside & out) - both clinical & when he taps in intuitively - he gets to the right spots to get maximum relief/results (at least for me). A professionally trained massage therapist is important but someone that brings in a DEEP intuition is CRUCIAL to me as I’ve been receiving massages regularly for over 30 years & sadly, the most clinical/ detached/unintuitive/worst massages I’d ever received prior to connecting with Rodrigo (& one other gal that seems to have dissappeared) have sadly been in CR. I want someone that taps into what my body is saying - not just what they’ve learned or is their usual routine!
Not only is Rodrigo an AMAZING Massage Therapist but because he does this for the CR Soccer Teams, he also does PHYSICAL THERAPY & MANY CHIROPRACTIC TYPE OF MOVES (you can move bones MUCH easier after they have been manipulated/massaged!!). One client he worked on had her hip misplaced in child birth 17 years before & nothing had fixed it - till ONE session with Rodrigo!!

![HELPING HANDS "WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES" Campaign - Shoes For Sale : Helping Hands Costa Rica recently received a FABULOUS DONATION of 4 big duffle bags FULL of VERY gently used AND NEW shoes (around 80 pairs) from the CORMIER family (Ted, Kristen, Haley, Hanna & Teddy) of Conneticut (first picture) on their visit to Costa Rica!! They gathered donations from friends and classmates!
One bag was FILLED with school and art supplies that were split between Gail Nystrom's CR Humanitarian Foundation & our upcoming benefactors of HH's Burger & Beer Fundraiser (Sun. May 11 from noon-5pm at Rock & Roll Pollo in Santa Ana. Inquire to 8-378-6679 for more details) - Patronato Nacional de Rehabilatcion (National Foundation for Rehabilitation).
Helping Hands "Walk A Mile In Their Shoes" campaign's goal is to collect a miles worth of gently used & new shoes! A mile's worth of shoes is around 5,000!!!
What we're doing in the mean time, when we get NICE donations like what we received from the Cormiers, we first try selling them (at The House Of Self Empowerment - ON Calle Vieja in Escazu) & the money raised goes to Gail's CR Humanitarian Foundation as we can make a lot more money on them ourselves.
Things that aren't sold are donated to Gail & she sells them to her people (many of which live in The Carpio [home to many of the poorest of the poor people]) for 500 or so colones (so it's not a disempowering handout). The money raised goes to help support their medical facilities and other needs!!!
If you're interested in seeing these shoes (there are LOTS of kids shoes - MOST of which are BRAND NEW!!!) contact 8-378-6679.
Tourists & Locals alike, we welcome you to donate your old (or new!!!) shoes, clothes, household items/furniture/appliances, books, school supplies (ESPECIALLY needed!!), medical supplies, vitamins, WHATEVER - to Helping Hands and the people of Costa Rica (isn't it a WONDERFUL FEELING to give back to the people in the country you are visiting/living in?!?!?!)!

Most of the shirts are long sleeved & a bit heavier material (great for people in the higher elevations of Costa Rica).
Prices range from 1,500-4,000 each.
They're located in Escazu (ultra conveniently ON Calle Vieja so easy to get to from the Pista [Prospero Fernandez Highway #27] and right on the Santa Ana bus line that leaves San Jose from the CocaCola Building).
